Vancouver, B.C. - The Vancouver Giants Hockey Club would like to congratulate the family of late Giants co-owner Pat Quinn on his induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
"We're really happy for Sandra and the Quinn family," said Giants majority owner Ron Toigo. "It's something that Pat certainly deserves. It's not a surprise on our part, and we're thrilled that he's in. It's one more acknowledgment of what Pat meant to hockey. This would have meant a lot to him."
Quinn, who passed away in November, 2014, won an Olympic gold medal, a World Junior Championship, a World Under-18 Championship and World Cup of Hockey while also winning a bronze medal at the World Championship. He is the only coach to win medals at five different levels of international play. Quinn also received the Order of Canada in 2012, was also a two-time Memorial Cup winner and a two-time recipient of the Jack Adams Award as the NHL's Coach of the Year.
Eric Lindros, Sergei Makarov and Rogie Vachon will also be inducted in the class of 2016.
