Madison Capitols News Release

Following a tough loss late in the game on Friday, the Capitols hit the road on Saturday once again to face off against the Green Bay Gamblers. Madison is in need of points as they now sit six points back of fourth place of the Eastern Conference, seven back of second placed Green Bay and Youngstown.

Brendan Lamb is set to skate in his 153rd game as a member of the Capitols, which moves him into a tie for third place all time in franchise history with Branden Suter. Lamb will sit six games back from second place Alec Broetzman, and 53 games back of first place Reid Pabich, who skated in 206 games for the team.

After the loss, the Capitols have made a couple of adjustments in the lineup prior to the game at the Resch Center on Saturday evening. Up front, Brendan Lamb moves up to the second line right wing Diego Johnson, who slots into Lamb's previous role alongside Long and Rice on the fourth unit for the Capitols. Sam Kappell enters the lineup as the team's extra forward in place of Ronan O'Donnell.

On the back end, the pairings stay the same with the extra defenseman skating tonight being James Mackey. Mackey replaces Noah Barlage who will miss tonight's game after skating in every game up to this point for the Capitols.

With the three night weekend, the Capitols will rely on both goaltenders with Carsen Musser getting the start between the pipes. Patriks Berzins got the start last night stopping 30 of 34 Waterloo shots on net.
