CHARLOTTE, NC - The Charlotte Checkers announced today that the first day of training camp has been changed to Monday, October 11th, at Cricket Arena. All practices will be open to the public and sessions will take place at either Cricket Arena or the Pineville Ice House. Please see the schedule below for exact times and locations.

Week 1

Monday, October 11th - 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Cricket Arena

Tuesday, October 12th - 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Cricket Arena

Wednesday, October 13th - 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Cricket Arena

Thursday, October 14th - 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. at Cricket Arena

Friday, October 15th - 8:45 to 9:45 at Pineville Ice House

Saturday, October 16th - 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Cricket Arena

Sunday, October 17th - TBA

Week 2

Monday, October 18th - 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Cricket Arena

Tuesday, October 19th - 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Cricket Arena

Wednesday, October 20th - 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Pineville Ice House

Thursday, October 21st - 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Pineville Ice House

On Friday, October 15th, the team leaves for their first exhibition game against the August Lynx at the Augusta Ice Sports Center. The team returns home to Cricket Arena on Saturday where they will host the Lynx at 7:00 p.m. in the first home exhibition of the season. Tickets for the October 16th game will be complimentary for season ticket holders and $5.00 for the general public.

The Checkers open their twelfth season in the ECHL Friday, Oct. 22 in Greenville and open their home schedule Saturday, Oct. 30 against Columbia.
