
Five Sea Wolves Invited To AHL Camps

BILOXI, Miss. â Mississippi Sea Wolves Professional Hockey announced today that five of its players which are signed for the 2004-05 season, will tryout at American Hockey League training camps.
Forwards Anthony Battaglia and Jeff Hutchins head to the Grand Rapids Griffins camp, forward Nicolas Corbeil and defenseman Mike Jarmuth compete at the Rochester Americans, while defenseman Kerry Ellis-Toddington takes part in the camp of the Manitoba Moose.
Battaglia, 25, registered career-highs last season with 23 goals, 14 assists and 37 points. A native of Chicago, Battaglia finished second on the team with six points in the Kelly Cup Playoffs, notching two goals and four helpers in five games. The 6-foot and 195-pound Battaglia netted his first career hat trick, the Sea Wolves lone three-goal game last year, on January 23 against Augusta.
Hutchins, 26, appeared in 48 games with Mississippi last season, tying the team lead with 11 power-play goals. The 6-foot and 205-pound Hutchins netted 26 goals overall with the Sea Wolves, 45 points, compiled a plus/minus of +15 and had 112 penalty minutes. Hutchins played two games with the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League in December, picking up two penalty minutes. He received his second AHL call-up on February 18 with the Rochester Americans and signed a standard players contract on March 3. The native of Toronto, Ontario remained with Rochester through the Calder Cup Playoffs, appearing in a total of 25 games with the Americans, tallying one goal, five points and 74 penalty minutes.
Corbeil, 21, played with three teams last season. The 5-foot-11 and 185-pound native of Laval, Quebec, Corbeil appeared in 31 games with Florence (now Pee Dee) of the ECHL, tallying nine goals, 24 points and 18 penalty minutes. He played in one game with Norfolk of the American Hockey League and completed the 2003-04 campaign by returning to the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League to play for Cape Breton, notching a total of 10 goals and 35 points in 27 games. Corbeil was selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the third round, 88th overall in 2001.
Jarmuth, 22, played four seasons at Western Michigan of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association in Kalamazoo from 2000-04. The 6-foot and 205-pound Jarmuth collected a four-year total of 13 goals, 56 assists, 69 points and 78 penalty minutes in 143 games. After completing last season at Western Michigan, Jarmuth appeared in 13 games with Kalamazoo of the United Hockey League, registering three assists.
Ellis-Toddington, 25, was one of only two Mississippi players last season to appear in all 72 regular season games. The 6-foot-1 and 200-pound Ellis-Toddington netted nine goals and 35 points, while registering a +12 to go along with 30 penalty minutes. A native of Regina, Saskatchewan, Ellis-Toddington scored power-play marker in five postseason games.
The Sea Wolves begin their pursuit for the 2005 Kelly Cup on October 22 at home against the Louisiana IceGators at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.
