Falcons Report for Training Camp on October 8th

Fresno, Calif. - The 2004-05 Fresno Falcons will report to training camp on Oct. 8 for orientation meetings before taking the ice for the first time on Saturday, Oct. 9, at Save Mart Center. The club will hold an intrasquad "Blue-White Scrimmage" exclusively for full season ticket holders and corporate sponsors on Thursday, Oct. 14, at 6 p.m. at Save Mart Center followed by a pre-season game against the Bakersfield Condors open to the general public on Friday, Oct. 15, at 7 p.m. at Save Mart Center.

The entire first week of training camp will be held at Save Mart Center beginning on Oct. 9 at 9 a.m. with player physicals, pictures and fitness testing before the entire team skates at the first on-ice session at 3 p.m. The rest of the week the team will be split into two groups of players, which will alternate morning on-ice and dryland sessions from 9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. and 10:30 - 12 p.m.; a scrimmage involving both groups will follow at 3:30 p.m. each day. Practice sessions at Save Mart Center are closed to the general public.

Admission to the "Blue-White Scrimmage" on Oct. 14 at Save Mart Center is an exclusive event for Falcons full season ticket holders (36-game and 24-game packages only) and corporate sponsors, who will be sent invitations containing more information in the coming days. Save Mart Center's doors will open at 5 p.m., giving attendees the chance to pick-up their season tickets and complimentary Falcons jerseys (available if they paid in full by May 1). After the Blue and White squads battle one another for 60 minutes, all of the players will adjourn to the arena concourse to mingle with fans and sign autographs.

Tickets for the pre-season game against the Condors on Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. at Save Mart Center go on sale Oct. 4 at the Save Mart Center Box Office and all Ticketmaster outlets. All seats cost $5 and are general admission. Fresno and Bakersfield then square off on Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. at Centennial Garden.

The second week of camp shifts to the Falcons' practice facility at Gateway Ice Center from Oct. 18 - 20. All sessions at Gateway Ice Center are free and open to the general public.

The Falcons officially begin the 2004-05 ECHL regular season on Oct. 22 against the Las Vegas Wranglers at Save Mart Center. Full season ticket packages and Flex Packs are still on sale beginning as low as $42.
