Pensacola Ice Pilots News Release
Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Ice Pilots, under the ownership group of Hockey Enterprises of Pensacola L.L.C. with owner Tim Kerr, announced that despite the aftermath of Hurricane Ivan, they will field a team and continue full operations for the 2004-05 season effective immediately.
The Ice Pilots would like to thank the ECHL and its member teams, Escambia County, and the SMG/Pensacola Civic Center for the outpouring of support and assistance in helping to make this season possible. The Ice Pilots would also like to thank their fans and sponsors for their support and patience while we worked through the many details related to fielding a team this year.
"Thanks to the resolve of all the people of Pensacola, we feel confident that, despite all the obstacles we face, we will be able to rebuild the Ice Pilots hockey team as the Pensacola community rebuilds as well," said Ice Pilots owner Tim Kerr. "We look forward to giving Pensacola a hockey season to remember and a team to be proud of."
The schedule will remain unchanged, and the Ice Pilots will face off with the Mississippi Sea Wolves on Saturday, October 23, in Biloxi for the road opener. The Ice Pilots home opener will be Saturday, October 30, against the Kelly Cup Finalists Florida Everblades at 7:05 PM.
Two home preseason games will also be played as scheduled against the Gwinnett Gladiators on Friday and Saturday, October 15 and 16, both at 7:05 PM. Ticket prices for the preseason games are $10 for all lower level tickets, and $5 for all upper level tickets.
Individual tickets for the preseason games go on sale to the general public on Friday, October 1 at 10:00 AM. Individual tickets for all 36 regular season home games go on sale Friday, October 15 at 10:00 AM.
Season tickets for al l 36 home games for the 2004-2005 season are still available. Cost of season tickets for floor and glass seats are $649.44, side seats are $459.00, goal seats and lower upper seats are $411.84 and upper level seats cost $324.00 16 game plans, 8 game plans and flex packs also are available. Fans can call the Ice Pilots office for season ticket and corporate sponsor information at (850) 432-7825.
