Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies News Release
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. â The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL, a proud affiliate of the New York Islanders, have agreed to terms on contracts with forwards Brad Both, Paul Falco, and Fraser Clair for the 2004-05 season.
Both (pronounced "booth"), 25, headlines the newest signings coming to Atlantic City from Richmond of the United Hockey League where he led the Riverdogs in penalty minutes last season with 243 in 65 games. The Emo, ON native brings with him a well-traveled reputation of toughness as he amassed 771 total penalty minutes in three seasons with the Fresno Falcons from 2000-03, including a West Coast Hockey League high 438 in 2002-03. Both also tallied a career-best 16 points on 4 goals and 12 assists last year in Richmond.
"Brad is a true enforcer and the type of player I felt we were missing at times last season," said Head Coach Matt Thomas. "However, he's strictly not a one-dimensional player. I expect him to step right in and help contribute offensively."
Falco, 23, returns to the Bullies after joining the team for the final 16 games of the regular season in March. The Weymouth, MA native notched 2 goals and 8 points in his limited time in Atlantic City. Falco played under Thomas at the University of Maine during the 2001-02 season.
Clair, 23, was acquired by the Bullies in a trade with Dayton on August 25 in exchange for Preston Mizzi.
The Bullies have 24 players officially under contract. Training camp will open next Thursday with introductory meetings and physicals at Boardwalk Hall. An official announcement regarding training camp, including a full camp schedule, will be released on Monday.
The Bullies and Vineland Ice Arena will be hosting an intra-squad scrimmage at 6:30PM on Saturday, October 9. Tickets for this event are only $6 and can be purchased by calling a Bullies Customer Service Representative at (609) 348-7825, or by calling the Vineland Ice Arena at (856) 691-2222. Full season ticket holders will receive admission free of charge.
