Priority Group Selection Night set for Thursday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- The Bakersfield Condors of the West Coast Hockey League will hold their second annual Priority Group Selection Night this Thursday, September 12th.

Priority Group Selection Night will take place Thursday, September 12th, from 5:30pm-7:30pm at Centennial Garden. This event is an opportunity to reserve dates for group outings in advance. A group is designated as 20 or more individuals. Booking your group early guarantees your party will sit together, and provides an opportunity for prizes and special recognition for your group during the game. By securing a group outing, you'll save $3.00 per ticket in the lower bowl, and $2.00 per ticket in the upper bowl. In addition, fans will have an opportunity to test their skills with the Condors inflatable slapshot game and tour the locker room. Head Coach Paul Kelly and Condors players will be on hand to greet fans and sign autographs all night.

"Group selection night is a great opportunity to secure the best seats for the biggest games of the season," said Condors Director of Group Sales & In-Game Promotions Greg May. "Selecting group dates in September allows groups the ability to plan ahead, ensuring the most convenient, hassle free experience possible."

The 2002-03 season is just 33 days away, with the Condors hosting the defending Taylor Cup Champion Fresno Falcons on Saturday, October 12th. Season tickets and group outings for this season are now available and may be purchased by calling 324-PUCK (7825), or by visiting the Condors office at Centennial Garden.

Condor Droppings. . . Registration for the Condors Invitational Charity Golf tournament is now underway for all season ticket holders and corporate partners. Benefiting the Alliance Against Family Violence, entry is $95 apiece or $380 for a foursome, and includes golf, dinner, and prizes. A Condors player will join each foursome... Signups are also underway for the Junior Condors Hockey League and the Junior Condors Power Skating Camp. The JCHL is an instructional league for kids, ages 5 through 13, and will feature guest instruction by members of the Condors team. The Power Skating Camp runs September 23 through 25, and is designed to improve skating and conditioning. The Condors annual Open House & Family Day at Centennial Garden will be held on Sunday, September 29th from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm. Admission to the Open House is free with a donation of a non-perishable food item to the Golden Empire Gleaners. The Open House is also the first day that Season Tickets are available for pick-up by season ticket holders. The first public skate of the year is also planned from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Cost of the skate is $7.00 and $3.00 for skate rental, or bring your own... The September website auction features the Dirty Dozen Opening Night Extravaganza package.
