Boardwalk Bullies Sign Forward Busch

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the East Coast Hockey League signed forward David Busch, it was announced today by Bullies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Mike Haviland. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The 22-year old from Toronto, Ontario, played the last four seasons at the University of New Hampshire and was named to the Hockey East All-Academic Team each year. Busch was honored as a "Distinguished Scholar" for posting a 3.0 grade point average or better in each semester during his four years.

The 5-10, 165-pound Wildcats forward tallied 32 points on 12 goals and 20 assists in 33 games last year and contributed 70 points on 32 goals and 38 assists in 130 games over his four year career.

At the end of the 1999-2000 campaign, Busch was named Most Improved Player and earned the Sid Knight Award in 1999, 2000, and 2001 for having the highest grade point average on the team.

"We're excited to have David join the Bullies for his rookie season in professional hockey," remarked Haviland. "His ability to play both offensively and defensively is an asset any coach would like to have on a team. David will fit well into our system here."
