
Joe Bianchi and Trent Clark Sign

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Gulls have signed forwards Joe Bianchi and Trent Clark, the West Coast Hockey League club announced today.
Bianchi, 27, joins the club for his second season. In 40 games for San Diego last season, Bianchi netted 19 points (6g, 13a) while amassing 49 penalty minutes. He also spent the 2001-02 season with the United Hockey League's Adirondack Ice Hawks and Rockford Ice Hogs. In 17 games between Adirondack and Rockford, Bianchi recorded five points.
The 5-foot-9-inch, 180-pound native of Bloomington, Minn. began his professional career in 1998-99. His most successful season came in 1999-00 while playing for the East Coast Hockey League's Richmond Renegades. That year, he registered 77 points (41g, 36a) and 152 penalty minutes in 64 games.
Clark, 24, signs with San Diego after playing four years at Colorado College. In his stint at Colorado College, the 5-foot-11-inch, 185-pound native of Superior Wis. scored 57 points (17g, 40a) in 162 games.
The Gulls open training camp Sept. 27. Their eighth season in the WCHL officially begins Saturday, Oct. 12 versus the Long Beach Ice Dogs. Season ticket packages are currently on sale. Contact a Gulls ticket representative at 619-224-4625 ext. 7 for more information.
