Pride Sign Nashua Native Brett Palanski

(Nashua, N.H., July 9, 2008) Nashua Pride officials announced today the signing of right-handed pitcher and Nashua native Brett Palanski.

Palanski, 6-foot 1-inch, 200-pounds, will join the Pride pitching staff coming off of his senior year at the University of Rhode Island (URI) where he accumulated a 7-4 record with a 4.41 ERA in 83.2 innings pitched. He was named to the 2008 A-10 Conference Baseball All-Championship Team at the conclusion of the season.

Palanski, who also lettered in football at Nashua High School, was an All-State selection in both his junior and senior years as a pitcher. In his junior season he posted an 8-2 record with a 1.17 ERA and a 4-1 record with an ERA of 1.13 in his senior year. He was named to both the Lowell Sun and Nashua Telegraph All-Star teams at the conclusion of his high school career.

The Nashua Pride Professional Baseball Club, entering its 11th season, provides a fun, affordable, community-based and fan-friendly source of sports entertainment. The 2007 Can-Am League Champions will be participating in its third year of play in the Canadian-American Association of Professional Baseball.
