Myrtle Beach Thunderboltz News Release
FLORENCE, SC â The Pee Dee Pride announced today that the team will hold its annual post-game Christian Concert on Friday, February 25, following that night's game against the South Carolina Stingrays. This year's concert, sponsored by Builder's First Source, Chick-fil-a, First Choice Healthcare, and LifeWay Christian Store features the contemporary Christian music of The Akins.
The Akins features four members of the Akin family: David, Dave, Nick, and Eli. The group has performed in Florence in the past, doing several concerts at Southside Baptist Church.
"The Akin family has the unique ability to communicate to all ages," Southside Baptist Church Minister Jim Crooks said. "They are uplifting and full of excitement and joy."
"We have had tremendous success with our Christian concerts in the past, and we are looking for another great response this year," Pride Chief Operating Officer Debbie Hyler said. "The Akins are a tremendous group, and it promises to be an enjoyable and uplifting night for all."
Discounted group tickets for groups of 15 or more are now available for the game and concert. Groups can purchase 200 or 400 level tickets for just $8 each, a savings of $3 per ticket. Tickets are good for both the game and the concert. For more information, or to place your order today, call the Pride office at (843) 669-7825.
The Pride begin an eight-game road trip on Friday in Biloxi, Mississippi against the Mississippi Sea Wolves. Pee Dee returns home on Friday, February 11, hosting the Greenville Grrrowl at 7:30 p.m.
