Kelowna Rockets News Release
The Kelowna Rockets will wrap up their regular-season series against the Kamloops Blazers this weekend with a home-and-home series.
The two will play Friday night at 7:05 pm at the Sandman Centre in Kamloops, the series will then shift back to Kelowna on Saturday night at 7:05 pm Prospera Place.
It's the third straight weekend that the two will face off in a home-and-home series. The Rockets took the first seven games in the 14 game season series, however the Blazers have responded with five straight wins against Kelowna - with two of those losses coming in the shootout.
Kamloops has climbed up to fifth in the Kia CHL Top-10 Rankings for March 22nd, 2022.
The Rockets were last in action on Wednesday against the Victoria Royals, where they fell 4-3 in Victoria. Nolan Flamand, Jake Poole and Turner McMillen were Kelowna's goal scorers, Jari Kykkanen stopped 27 of the 31 shots he faced.
Kamloops has been off since their last meeting with the Rockets on Saturday, where they blanked the 4-0. The Blazers jumped out to a 3-0 lead through 20 minutes of action; scoring all three goals in different ways, on the power play, at even strength and while short handed. Kamloops added a fourth tally in the final minutes of the third period.
