The Winnipeg ICE have reassigned goaltender Dawson Cowan to the Winnipeg Blues of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.
The Blues open their first round MJHL playoff series on the road tomorrow against the Winkler Flyers. The two teams return to The RINK Training Centre for Game 2, Monday, March 28 at 7:30. Click Here for Blues Tickets
Cowan, 16, from Warren, Manitoba recorded a shutout in his WHL regular season debut Tuesday, March 15th versus the Calgary Hitmen making 23 saves in a 4-0 victory.
He also played one WHL preseason game September 10th in Regina making 29 of 34 saves in a 5-4 loss to the Pats.
Cowan appeared in 14 regular season games with the Blues sporting a 6-5 record, 3.40 goals against average and .890 save percentage.
The ICE open a three game homestand with a pair of games this weekend at the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena hosting the Prince Albert Raiders, 7:00 Saturday night and 5:00 Sunday afternoon followed by the Moose Jaw Warriors Tuesday night at 7:00

It's another Sunday Funday and kids will be able to utilize a bouncy castle all game long as well as more activities for the kids.
Tuesday, March 29 vs Moose Jaw - 7PM
It's Winnipeg Blue Bomber Night. Along with the Grey Cup, members of the 2022 Championship team will be in attendance for fans to take pictures with and get autographs from.
A reminder, playoff tickets for games 1 and 2 of the first round of the 2022 WHL Playoffs go on sale to the general public tomorrow (Friday) morning.
