
Victoria Completes Two-Game Sweep

The Victoria Royals pushed past the Kelowna Rockets 4-3 on Wednesday night at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Arena in Victoria, BC.
It was the second meeting in as many nights between the two, Victoria took last night's game 4-2.
Brayden Schuurman (27) scored the lone goal of the opening period from the left faceoff dot.
Nolan Flamand's (9) power play shot popped up and over goaltender Campbell Arnold and into the Royals net. Caleb Willms (3) reestablished Victoria's lead on the man advantage.
Schuurman (28) beat Rockets goaltender 1:06 into the third period to give the Royals a two-goal cushion. Jake Poole (14) and Marcus Almquist (3) traded goals early in the frame. In tight, Turner McMillen (11) pulled Kelowna back within one with 12:13 to play.
Kelowna outshot Victoria 39 to 31. Kykkanen stopped 27 of the 31 shots he faced, while Arnold turned aside 36 of the 39 fired on him.
Both teams were one-for-one with the power play.
With the loss, the Rockets record moves to 34-18-1-5.
The Rockets road trip continues on Friday with a 7:00 pm matchup at the Sandman Centre in Kamloops against the Blazers.
The Rockets next home game is Saturday, March 26th when Kelowna will host the Kamloops Blazers for their 14th and final meeting of the regular season.
