After scoring the overtime game winning goal Tuesday night in Prince Albert, Jack Finley opened the scoring 9:56 into the first period Wednesday in Saskatoon as the Winnipeg ICE doubled the Blades 4-2.
Jakin Smallwood, Chase Wheatcroft and Nolan Orzeck also scored to improve Winnipeg's record to 45-9-3-2, good for 95 points and a two point advantage over the Edmonton Oil Kings for top spot in the Eastern Conference standings.
The win also extended the ICE undefeated streak to 13 games (11-0-1-1).
Winnipeg outshot Saskatoon 29-18. For the second time this season, goaltender Daniel Hauser is riding a personal 10 game winning streak.
Tristen Robins and Tyler Parr replied for Saskatoon, who trailed 2-0 after the first period and 2-1 through 40 minutes.
Winnipeg finishes their eight game regular season series against the Blades with a 6-2 record.
The ICE return home for a pair of games this weekend at the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena versus the Prince Albert Raiders, Saturday night at 7:00 and Sunday afternoon at 5:00.
