Who We're Watching
#14 Marshall Finnie
Second-year Oil Kings forward Marshall Finnie is off to a dream start in his second year in the Western Hockey League. After closing last season by notching his eighth goal of the 2022-23 season in the team's season finale, a 2-1 win in Calgary over the Hitmen, the Lethbridge, AB product has picked up right where he left off. On Friday, September 22, the 6-foot-2, 189-pound bruising forward had the icebreaking goal for the Oil Kings 2023-24 campaign turning on the red light less than seven minutes into the game. The next night, at the Oil Kings home opener, he kept filling the net with a two-goal performance, the first multi-goal effort of his WHL career.
