NEWS AND NOTES
Last Time Out: The Cougars collected their fourth consecutive win with a big 7-2 victory over the Rockets, Wednesday at CN Centre. Chase Wheatcroft once again led the way offensively for the Cats with two goals and an assist. Wheatcroft is now tied for 4th in league scoring with 69 points. Koehn Ziemmer, Hudson Thornton, Zac Funk, Jaxsen Wiebe, and Cayden Glover also found the back of the net for Prince George in the win. Tyler Brennan collected his fifth straight victory, making 17 saves.
Point Streak Extends to 11: Cougars forward Chase Wheatcroft has been no short of incredible this week. Wheatcroft, 20, has 9 goals and 12 assists in 11 games heading into tonight's game.
Against the Rockets: The Cougars and Rockets have met 6 times this season, and the Cats lead the series 4 games to 2 with the two wins they posted earlier this week.
On the Other Side: With Rockets star Andrew Cristall out of the lineup for the last several weeks, the captain for the Rockets in Gabriel Szturc has been producing in Cristall's absence. Szturc has two goals in his last two games against the Cougars and has 15 on the year. In 38 games this season, the Czechian forward has amassed 52 points in 37 games.
