Preview: Bethlehem Steel FC to Face Rochester Rhinos Saturday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Bethlehem Steel FC travel to Rochester, N.Y. to face Rochester Rhinos Saturday, May 28 with kickoff scheduled for 6:05 p.m. The game will be available via live stream on the Bethlehem Steel FC website.

Sunday's match will be the first encounter between Rochester Rhinos and Bethlehem Steel FC. The two teams will meet again on Sunday, July 24 at Steel FC's home at Lehigh University's Goodman Stadium.

Steel FC enter the match after suffering a 3-1 loss to the City Islanders on Sunday, May 22 concluding a five game unbeaten streak. Steel FC now have an overall record of 3-3-3 with a 1-2-1 record on the road and are looking to find their first win as a visitor since their inaugural game against FC Montreal on March 25.

Goalkeeper John McCarthy played for the Rhinos during the 2014 season where he was named USL Rookie of the Year and USL Goalkeeper of the Year. McCarthy is not expected to make the trip to Rochester this weekend. With McCarthy on First Team duty, Steel FC keeper Samir Badr is expected to make his first start of the season after a strong preseason.

Rochester enter Saturday's match after a 2-1 loss against Orlando City B on Sunday, May 22. The loss also marked the end of a five game winning streak for the Rhinos who currently sit two places above Steel FC in the Eastern Conference standings.
