Rio Grande Valley FC Toros News Release

The Rio Grande Valley FC Toros (4-2-3) hit the road again as they take on Saint Louis FC (4-3-3) on Sunday, May 29 at the World Wide Technology Soccer Park. The game is set to kick off at 7:30 p.m.

The Toros are coming off a 0-0 draw against in-state rival San Antonio FC. The game was played earlier this week on Wednesday, May 25. Both goalkeepers, Toros' Calle Brown and San Antonio's Josh Ford, had extraordinary performances to keep the match scoreless. Brown finished the game with five saves. Rio Grande Valley is currently on their longest unbeaten streak, four games. The club's last defeat was on April 30, a 0-2 defeat to LA Galaxy II.

Saint Louis FC also played a midweek game. The Club hosted Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 on Wednesday. Vancouver's Brett Levis had the first goal of the match on the 23rd minute of the match. Jamiel Hardware scored in the 62nd minute for Saint Louis FC to bring the game even. The match ended 1-1.

Both teams share the same amount of points, 15, and will seek a win to distance themselves from one another in the standings. After Sunday's match, the RGV FC Toros will host San Antonio FC. It will be the third encounter between the two teams. Saint Louis FC will travel to play Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC.
