The Americans will wrap up the regular season this weekend with a home-and-home series against the Chiefs. They will host Spokane tonight at the Toyota Center and then head to Spokane tomorrow.
It's Autism Awareness Night presented by AutoZone and the Americans will be wearing special jerseys featuring an Autism Awareness design. Each jersey will be auctioned off online after the game through DASH Auction. There will also be Autism Awareness Night t-shirts and pucks for sale and a raffle on the concourse. All proceeds from these sales will go to Responding to Autism, which provides a variety of resources for people with autism around the Tri-Cities community.
This will be the 11th of 12 games between the Ams and Chiefs this season. Tri-City leads the season series 7-3-0-0.
The Ams come into tonight's game on a 4-0-0-1 streak, while Spokane just put themselves back into the win column with a 3-2 victory over Everett on Sunday. Tri-City also last played on Sunday when they downed Vancouver 5-2 at the Toyota Center.
Adam Mechura and Jake Sloan led the Ams with a pair of goals each in their last game. Vancouver opened scoring four minutes into the game but Tri-City quickly took back the game and held a 3-1 lead by the end of the first period.
The Americans have been extra impressive at home this season with a 23-6-2-2 record at the Toyota Center. Tri-City's home power play is the best in the WHL with 31.9% success.
