The Winnipeg ICE saw a 3-1 first period lead disappear Wednesday night as the Moose Jaw Warriors earned a 6-4 decision at the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena.
Warriors forward Josh Hoekstra 0pened the scoring before Matthew Savoie, Evan Friesen and Zack Ostapchuk gave the ICE the lead heading into the intermission.
Brayden Yager scored twice for Moose Jaw, along with an Atley Calvert power play goal put the visitors in front 4-3 through 40 minutes.
Ryder Korczak and Jagger Firkus also struck in the third period for the Warriors while Ostapchuk's second of the night rounded out Winnipeg's scoring.
The ICE outshot Moose Jaw 38-36. Jackson Unger earned the victory in goal while Mason Beaupit suffered the loss.
The Warriors went 2/3 on the power play, the ICE were 0/2.
