Premier Doug Ford to Join Special Olympian Chrystal Cochrane for Thursday's Ceremonial Puck Drop

(Peterborough, ON) - Ontario Premier Doug Ford will join Peterborough Special Olympian Chrystal Cochrane, as well as Peterborough Police Service Chief Scott Gilbert, for a ceremonial puck drop ahead of Thursday's game against the Owen Sound Attack at 7:05 pm at the Peterborough Memorial Centre.

Ford will take in Special Olympics Night, an awareness campaign that is part of the ongoing commitment by the Ontario Hockey League, Peterborough Petes, and Special Olympics Ontario. He will also interact with fans throughout the evening.

Media are invited to take photos of the ceremonial puck drop. Any media who wish to do so must contact Tamara Burns by email at tburns@gopetesgo.com before 12:00pm on Thursday, November 15 with their name and affiliated media outlet.

On the ice, the Petes will face the Western Conference's fourth place club. They're led by centre Kevin Hancock, who is fourth in league scoring with 16 goals, 19 assists, and 35 points in 20 games for the Attack.
