HAMILTON, ONTARIO. The Bulldogs dug themselves a hole they just couldn't get out of as they dropped Wednesday's School Day game to the Barrie Colts 6-3.

The visitors got the jump and had a 2-0 lead after the 1st period. Barrie scored two power-play goals for a 4-0 lead by the mid-way point of the 2nd. Brandon Saigeon (13, 14, 15) went to work cutting the deficit to 4-1 at the end of two periods, and then made it a 4-3 hockey game with two more in the 3rd. However, the Colts scored two empty net goals to finish the scoring.

Brandon Saigeon's hat-trick extended his point streak to 12 games.
