Erie, PA.: The Kitchener Rangers played a rare 11am school-day game in Pennsylvania, where they faced the Erie Otters.
The Otters claimed a 6-4 victory over the Rangers.
Goals for Kitchener came from Joseph Garreffa, Jonathan Yantsis and Rickard Hugg. Erie goals were tallied by Petr Cajka, Brendan Kischnick, Chad Yetman and Kyle Maksimovich.
The Rangers' Yantsis, scored two goals to bring his season total to 16.
Kitchener's Luke Richardson faced 28 shots and Daniel Murphy turned aside 19 in the win.

Otters got on the board first with a short-handed goal by Petr Cajka at 1:46 of the opening period. Erie experienced penalty trouble, which the Rangers were able to capitalize on. Joseph Garreffa scored his seventh of the season on a 5 on 3 powerplay at 4:59 to tie it at 1-1. Riley Damiani and Greg Meireles got assists on the goal. Jonathan Yantsis scored his 15th of the season from just outside the crease at 15:40 with assists from Arber Xhekaj and Rickard Hugg. The game was tied on a Rangers deflection at 17:36, Brendan Kischnick got credit for the goal.
Shots on goal favoured Kitchener 9-7 as the period ended.
The Rangers took an early penalty to start the second with a cross-checking minor from Yantsis at 0:13. Eric Guest had a penalty shot on the Otters' man advantage at 1:05, but couldn't find the net. Hugg helped the Rangers take the lead off a rebound at 7:30. Yantsis notched his second of the day putting the Rangers up by two at 9:34. Otters' Cajka responded with a goal at 10:33 to make it 4-3.
Shots on goal were tied 18-18 after 40-minutes.
Erie scored two unanswered goals in the third, to claim the 6-4 win. Otters' forward, Chad Yetman tied the game 4-4 at 10:12. Yetman scored his second of the game at 14:12 to make it 5-4 and Kyle Maksimovich closed the scoring with an empty net goal at 19:59.
The Rangers next home game is Friday, November 16 at 7:30 pm versus the Saginaw Spirit.
