Kitchener Rangers Earn 5-1 Game 4 Victory to Sweep Opening Round Series

Saginaw, MI. - The Kitchener Rangers defeated the Saginaw Spirit 5-1 Thursday night to earn their fourth-straight victory and sweep their opening round series. This is the fifth-straight opening round that the Kitchener Rangers have won dating back to 2019. Kitchener scored four unanswered goals to open the game, three in the opening period alone. Sam O'Reilly opened the scoring after blocking a shot in the Rangers end and powering his way down the ice for a breakaway goal. Dylan Edwards got his first goal of the playoffs and quickly doubled down with a sweet power play goal to cap off a strong opening frame by the Blueshirts. The Rangers and Spirit traded goals in the middle frame, before Christian Humphreys sealed the victory with an empty net goal.

Christian Kirsch remains perfect in goal for the Rangers improving to a 4-0-0-0 record with a 13-save performance.
