Pre-Game Party and Fleece Blanket Giveaway Kick off 2015 Slate

Rockford, Ill - 24 hours after the Rockford IceHogs (21-12-3-1) fell to the Milwaukee Admirals (17-12-2-3) by the score the of 4-2, the two Midwest Division rivals will face-off from the BMO Harris Bank Center Friday night at 7 p.m. The first 2,500 fans through the gates will receive an IceHogs Fleece Blanket thanks to OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center.

Prior to tonight's tilt, those 21-and-older with a game ticket are invited to enjoy live music, free appetizers and drink specials at the Blue Flame Lounge (capacity 125) inside the BMO Harris Bank Center. Doors will open at 5:15 and fans must enter through the upper-concourse level entrance on Elm St., near the box office. The music on Friday will be provided by New Savages.

The IceHogs enter tonight's contest with a record of 3-4-0-0 this season against the Admirals after, winning three of the last four tilts. The Hogs and Ads will drop the puck against one another four more times this season.

Rockford is led by 2015 All-Star defensemen T.J. Brennan. Brennan has 29 points (8g-21a), and is tied for first in the AHL among d-man and leads all Hog players in scoring. Garret Ross paces all Rockford skaters in goals (11) and a plus/minus rating of plus-18.

On the back end of the ice, Michael Leighton and Scott Darling each enter Friday's game with nine victories and appeared in 20 and 16 games respectively. Leighton has a record of 9-7-2 while Darling shows a record of 9-5-2.

Milwaukee is paced by Brendan Leipsic. Leipsic's 25 points and 21 assists lead all Admirals skaters. Pontus Aberg and Austin Watson each have lit the lamp 13 times for Milwaukee.

The Admirals are led by goalie Marek Mazanec. Mazanec picked up his 10th win last night and has a record of 10-8-3 and a .902 save percentage. Fellow teammate Hellberg has appeared in 15 contests for the Ads and has a 1.89 goals against average which ranks second in the AHL. Hellberg comes into the contest sporting a 7-4-2 record.

Next Home Game: Tuesday, Jan. 13 vs. Charlotte Checkers. Puck drops at 7 p.m. The IceHogs faceoff with the Checkers for the first of four times this season. The game is also a WXRX Dollar Day meaning fans can take advantage of $1 beer, soda and hot dogs.
