Steven Janes and Cody Ceci return to Ottawa
The biggest move the 67's have made in recent memory went down on January 7th. The 67's sent 1st round NHL pick Cody Ceci, rugged winger Steven Janes and a 3rd round pick in 2015 to Owen Sound for Colorado 6th rounder Joesph Blandisi and 8th overall 2012 OHL draft pick Jacob Middleton. Middleton also represented Canada at the World Under 17's with his new teammate Dante Salituro. Cody Ceci was recently sent back to Owen Sound following an invite to Ottawa Senators' training camp.
Top Prospects
In the world of junior hockey, top players tend to see a lot of familiar faces throughout the season. This year will be no different for Ottawa 67's Sean Monahan, who teamed up with Attack defenceman Chris Bigras in the annual Top Prospects game on Wednesday. The Home Hardware CHL Top Prospects Game features the most talented CHL players who are eligible for the upcoming NHL draft . Bigras and Monahan both suited up for Team Orr who beat Attack forward Zach Nastasiuk and the rest of Team Cherry 3-0. Both teams playing on Sunday have goalies ranked in Central Scouting's Top 25 - Jacob Blair for the 67's and Brandon Hope for Owen Sound. Cameron Brace (101st) for Owen Sound and the 67's Sergey Kuptsov (131st) rank among North American skaters. * All rankings based on CSS mid-season rankings for the 2013 NHL draft.
Post Game Autograph Session
