The first place Bloomington PrairieThunder lost 5-0 in Southaven, Mississippi on Friday night as the Mississippi RiverKings played like the old championship Memphis teams of 2001-02 and 2002-03. Patrik Levesque scored what turned out to be the game winning goal at 16:24 of the first period and four more 'Kings would score to put the game out of reach. Matt Summers, Louis Dumont, Chris Richards, and Darrell Stoddard scored the other RiverKings goals. Veteran goaltender Larry Stirling stopped all 28 Bloomington shots for the shutout victory.
The PrairieThunder fell to 23-14-2 but remain in first place in the CHL's Turner (Northern) Conference, one point ahead of the Wichita Thunder. The RiverKings improved to 21-20-1 on the year.

Bloomington wraps up their three game road trip on Saturday night at the DeSoto Civic Center in Southaven, Mississippi. Bloomington's next home game is Tuesday, February 1st against the Quad City Mallards. That will be the re-scheduled game which was moved from March 18th for the Sugarland Concert.
