PrairieThunder loses at Quad City 6-4 on Saturday night

The Bloomington PrairieThunder dropped their pre-season opener 6-4 at Quad City on Saturday night. The PrairieThunder goals came from Aaron Dawson, Brett Holmberg, Jamie Lovell, and Billy Bagron. Quad City scored four goals on PThunder goaltender Kevin Armstrong in the first 29:53 of the game. Patrick Street then replaced Armstrong and gave up two goals the rest of the way.

The PrairieThunder and Mallards face off again Sunday afternoon at 4:00pm at the Decatur Civic Center in Decatur, Illinois. The game benefits Decatur Youth Hockey and the PrairieThunder will be wearing special game jerseys which will be auctioned off following the game. Tickets for Sunday's game at the Decatur Civic Center will be available at the Civic Center right up until game time.

Season tickets and group ticket packages for the 2010-2011 Bloomington Prairie Thunder are still on sale at the team's offices located at 318 W. Washington Street, Suite 1NW, in downtown Bloomington. The PrairieThunder's home opening weekend is Friday & Saturday, October 22nd and 23rd, when Bloomington hosts the Odessa Jackalopes and Tulsa Oilers at 7:05pm each evening at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum.
