Team captain Tyler Rennette was chosen by his teammates as the Bloomington PrairieThunder's Most Valuable Player for the 2006-07 season, the first in franchise history.

Rennette led the team in assists with 33 and total points with 53 in 65 games. He also had a team-high four game-winning goals. The veteran center missed 11 games in December with an injury.

Forward Alex Goupil, who represented Bloomington in the United Hockey League All-Star Game, was the team leader in goals scored for the PrairieThunder with 23 in 67 games. He had eight power play goals.

Mike Zbriger, who joined the team at midseason in a trade, was voted by his teammates as the Rookie of the Year after scoring 17 goals and adding 21 assists for 38 points in 44 games. Zbriger tied for the UHL leadership in goals scored by a rookie.

Jarad Bourassa was voted as the team's top defender. Bourassa scored a career-high 17 goals and had 15 assists for 32 points, including seven power play goals.

Sam Miller was voted by his peers as the Best Teammate, while goalie Steffan Braunlich received the Community Service Award.

The PrairieThunder concluded its first season with a 25-45-6 record and ranked third in overall attendance among the league's 10 teams with an average crowd of 3,764 for 38 dates at U.S. Cellular Coliseum. A total of 143,026 people filed through the turnstiles, including a record 6,250 in its season finale.
