PrairieThunder Dominates Memphis RiverKings 3-1 on Wednesday Night

The Bloomington PrairieThunder, led by Brett Holmberg's hat trick, defeated the Memphis RiverKings 3-1 on Wednesday night at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum in downtown Bloomington. It was the PThunder's sixth win in their last eight games and Bloomington improves to 14-8-1 on the season.
Bloomington led 1-0 after the first period on Holmberg's fifth goal of the year with assists from Alan Mazur and Craig Macdonald. Holmberg scored twice more in the second period to give the PrairieThunder a 3-0 lead by the 13:20 mark of the second period. Holmberg's second goal was assisted by Jamie Lovell and Bill Bagron. Holmberg's third lamp lighter came shorthanded with an assist from Jason Dale. The RiverKings (13-13-1) ended the shutout bid when veteran Louis Dumont beat PrairieThunder goaltender Brad Phillips at 19:41 of the second period.
Brett Holmberg, with his hat trick, was voted the game's number one star. Goaltender Brad Phillips, who stopped 30 of 31 shots was the number two star, and Craig Macdonald was the number three star. Bloomington is now off for the Central Hockey League Christmas Break until Sunday, December 26th when they host the Evansville IceMen at 3:05pm.

Holiday Office & Box Office Hours
The PrairieThunder offices will be open during regular hours (9am-5pm) through Thursday (12/23) and will be open from 9am to 12 noon on Friday (Christmas Eve). The PrairieThunder office re-opens Sunday morning at 9am.....The U.S. Cellular Coliseum Box Office will be closed on Friday (12/24) and Saturday (12/25) and will re-open Sunday at 12 noon right up until game time.
