Sundogs Help to Collect More Than $800 for the Salvation Army

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Central Hockey League's Arizona Sundogs announced today that the team helped to collect $818.02 in donations for The Salvation Army last week as part of the organization's 'Doing the Most Good' campaign.
Through their annual partnership with The Salvation Army, Arizona Sundogs players Mark Kolanos, Torren Delforte, Doug Groenestege, Clayton Barthel, Jim Driscoll, John Wessbecker, Jason Williams, Marc-Andre Labelle, Corey Laurysen, Sam Grenache, Maxime Renaud and Bobby Jarosz braved cold and wet weather while staffing red kettle collection points throughout Prescott and Prescott Valley on December 16, bringing in $495.23 in donations.
Sundogs players were stationed at Walmart off Highway 69 in Prescott, Walmart off Gail Gardner Way in Prescott and at Fry's off Glassford Hill Road in Prescott Valley.
Members of The Salvation Army also collected donations outside the main entrances of Tim's Toyota Center during the team's three home games against the Rapid City Rush on December 15, 17 and 18, collecting a total of $322.79.
"With their efforts the Arizona Sundogs are responsible for helping to raise more than $800 to support the needy in our communities," said Major Kyle Trimmer of The Salvation Army. "We would like to thank them for their efforts and look forward to working with them again next year."
