Charleston Dirty Birds News Release
Charleston, WV (June 25, 2006) - Sunday's game between the West Virginia Power and the Kannapolis Intimidators has been cancelled due to rain. The game will not be made up.
The "Sanctus Real" Christian Concert will take place at Appalachian Power Park at 5:00 PM. Sunday's game was supposed to be the last game of the season between the Power and Intimidators, and because the two teams will not meet again this season, the game will not be made up.
The Power will begin an eight game road trip which starts with a four game series against the Augusta GreenJackets on Monday night. Augusta has not named their starter and the Power will start right hander Matt Kretzschmar (1-2, 6.32). The first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM.
