The Sea Dogs and Rock Cats (Twins affiliate) wrap up their four-game series at Hadlock Field...Portland is looking for a series split against New Britain.

RHP Stephen Fife (10-3, 3.59)

Fife is making his 17th appearance of the season, and his 16th start of the season...The righty is 7-1 in his last 10 games.

News and Notes

END OF THE LINE: The Sea Dogs go for a series split this afternoon against the Rock Cats...Today marks the final meeting between the two sides this year...The Rock Cats have won 15 of 23 from Portland this season and 23 of the last 40 meetings dating back to the 11th contest of 2010... The Sea Dogs are 13-13 during a 37-game stretch against the Eastern Division which ends after Portland's next roadtrip.

SO CLOSE AGAIN: For the second time this series, the Sea Dogs dropped a 5-4 decision to the Rock Cats...Portland rallied from two runs down to tie the game in the seventh inning, but Chris Parmelee drove in the winning run with a sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth against Kyle Fernandes (0-4)...Chih-Hsien Chiang led off the ninth with a walk, but was left stranded at first as Matt Schuld struck out the side to secure his first Double-A save...Spencer Steedley earned his third win of the season, retiring four batters on one hit and two strikeouts.
