The Pirates have won their last three games as they get ready for their longest road trip of the year which starts in Norfolk, VA on Friday night. The Pirates are 29-26-3-5 and are now just ten points behind Worcester for the fourth and final playoff spot in the Atlantic Division.

The 8th Annual "Evening with the Pirates" presented by Key Bank will take place tomorrow from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at The Stadium Restaurant and Sports Bar. This year's event will support the Pirates new exhibit at the Children's Museum of Maine opening next spring.

Friday, March 18th @ Norfolk 7:30 p.m.

The two teams have split the season series 1-1.

Saturday, March 19th @ Norfolk 7:30 p.m.

Trent Whitfield has two points (1 goal, 1 assist) in the two games against the Admirals this season.

Sunday, March 20th @ Philadelphia 7:30 p.m.

The Pirates beat the Phantoms in the first meeting 3-2 with two goals by Brian Willsie and the game winning goal by Chris Hajt.

NEXT HOME GAME: Saturday, March 26 vs. Manchester 7:05 p.m. The Pirates have won eight games in a row at the Cumberland County Civic Center. The Pirates can set a new franchise record with a win against the Monarchs. Plus, it will be Hall of Fame Night presented by Bank of America. The Pirates will honor their 8th inductee, Ryan Mulhern into the Portland Pirates Hall of Fame.

Gritty's and the Portland Pirates have joined with Hannaford to present the "Power Play" promotion. The contest winners will be announced on Tuesday, March 22nd on the morning show with the Captain and Mark on WBLM 102.9FM.

Don't miss the last home game of the regular season as the Pirates thank the fans for their support. At this game, the winners will be chosen for "Shirts Off Their Backs" as each player will give his game-worn jersey away to a lucky fan in attendance. The night will also feature the 2004-05 Player Awards.

Each person who submits an entry, will receive two free tickets to an upcoming Pirates home game and be entered to win the grand prize- a 2004-05 team autographed Pirates jersey and take part in the christening ceremony on April 22, 2005. IN THE COMMUNITY

On Thursday, March 10th, Pirates players Nolan Yonkman and Jason Ulmer presented the Pirates sixth "Goals for Success" program of the year at Manchester School in Windham, ME. The program is sponsored by Healthy Maine Partnerships and Pepsi.

Today, the Portland Pirates Foundation announced the creation of Salty Pete's "Skate for the Kids" fundraiser, which will be held on April 3, 2005 at the Cumberland County Civic Center, to raise funds for The Barbara Bush Children's Hospital at Maine Medical Center. All the details of the relationship and "Skate for the Kids" event were announced today at a press conference in the Captain's Club at the Cumberland County Civic Center.

Tomorrow, catch the Pirates Head Coach Tim Army on WJAB at 8:00 a.m. on the "The Morning Jab" on WJAB 95.5FM and 1440AM.

Louis Robitaille will be on WBLM 102.9FM this Friday at 8:00 a.m. with the Captain and Mark.

Boyd Gordon scored the game winning goal in the shootout.

Brian Willsie scored twice to extend his point scoring streak to seven games.

March 13th vs. Hartford (2-0 W)

Brooks Laich scored both Pirates goals to beat the Wolf Pack.
