
Portland hands Sacramento 6-3 loss at Raley Field

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The Sacramento River Cats (54-35) dropped their fourth consecutive game on Friday, losing 6-3 to the Portland Beavers (44-45) at Raley Field. The team has lost four straight games for the first time since the 2002 season.
Down 3-2, the Beavers erupted for four runs in the final two innings en route to the win. RHP Chris Mabeus (3-1) took the loss in relief, allowing 2 ER on 3 H in 1.1 IP. LHP Eddie Oropesa (2-0) earned the win. RHP Marty McLeary picked up his first save of the season.
The River Cats and Beavers will play the third game of their four-game series on Saturday (7:05 pm) at Raley Field.
