Point Streak Snapped in Loss to Senators

BINGHAMTON, NY - The St. John's IceCaps saw their season-high 10-game point streak end Saturday night in a 4-1 loss to the Binghamton Senators at the Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena.

The loss marked the first regulation defeat since losing 4-1 to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins nearly a month ago on November 6th.

Mark MacMillan opened the scoring just 4:14 into the first but the Senators answered with four straight goals, including a pair from Matt Puempel.

Dustin Tokarski made 26 saves for the IceCaps, while Senators netminder Matt O'Connor stopped 27-of-28 for his first pro win.

The IceCaps finished their six-game road trip with a 3-1-1-1 record and head home to start a four-game home stand next Friday vs. the Rochester Americans for the annual NTV Teddy Toss.
