Beloit Sky Carp News Release
Snappy and his friends in the front office made a pretty big donation last week to the Stateline Youth Sports Complex. The class low A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins donated their field tarp to the youth complex after receiving a brand new tarp of their own earlier this month. The Snappers hope the donation will help the Stateline Youth Sports Complex beat Mother Nature more times than not.
"Giving back to the community is extremely important to the Snappers," said General Manager Jeff Vohs. "We understand the importance of supporting local businesses and community events and we are happy to lend a helping hand. Hopefully the Stateline Youth Sports Complex will get a lot of good use out of the tarp."
The field tarp is just one of many things the Snappers have donated to local businesses and charities this year. So far in 2008, the Snappers have already given back to over 150 organizations with everything from tickets to merchandise.
Sunday, June 1st is Yovani Gallardo bobblehead giveaway day! The first 500 fans in attendance will receive a wristband good for ONE Gallardo bobblehead, courtesy of Pepsi. If you do not have a wristband, YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE A BOBBLEHEAD.
First pitch on Sunday is set for 4:00pm with gates opening up at 3:00pm. Tickets are available by phone at 608-362-227 and 1-888-SNAP-2-IT or online at www.snappersbaseball.com. Fans can also purchase tickets at the Pohlman Field Administrative Offices located at 2301 Skyline Drive in Beloit.
