May 30, 2008 - Friday's game between the Cedar Rapids Kernels and Peoria Chiefs has been postponed due to rain. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Saturday, May 31 starting at 5:00 pm from O'Brien Field in Peoria.
Michael Anton will start for the Kernels in game with Mason Tobin starting the nightcap. Both games will be seven innings long.
Both games will be broadcast live via the internet at www.kernels.com The Kernels return home to Dale and Thomas Popcorn Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Sunday, June 1 and open an eight game home stand with games against Kane County and Burlington. Game time on Sunday is 2 pm with the gates opening at 1 pm.
