Pochiro Reassigned to AHL's Chicago Wolves

MOLINE, Ill. - Forward Zach Pochiro has been reassigned from the Quad City Mallards to the American Hockey League's Chicago Wolves, the Mallards announced today.

Pochiro, 21, has scored six goals and added eight assists for 14 points in 21 games with the Mallards this season. The 6' 2", 170-pound Las Vegas native joins the Wolves for the third time this season, though he has yet to play for the club.

Pochiro started last season with the ECHL's Alaska Aces before returning to the junior ranks with the Prince George Cougars of the Western Hockey League last November. Last year Pochiro scored 19 times and pocketed 23 assists for 42 points in 41 games with Prince George after notching a pair of assists in eight games with Alaska.

Pochiro made his professional debut at the end of the 2013-14 season with the Kalamazoo Wings. He had two assists in eight games with the Wings after setting junior career highs in goals (27), assists (39) and points (66) in 63 games for the Cougars during that campaign. Pochiro piled up 61 goals, 61 assists and 122 points in 179 career WHL games.

The Mallards next play at home Friday night at 7:05 p.m. against the Wheeling Nailers. The first 1,000 fans through the doors for that game will receive free Mallards winter caps courtesy of KWQC-TV6. Friday also brings the return of $1 Dog/$1 Beer Night presented by 97X and MetroLINK College Night.

Single game tickets for all Mallards regular season home games- including Friday's game- are on sale now at the iWireless Center box office, Ticketmaster outlets, ticketmaster.com and Ticketmaster charge-by-phone toll free at 1-800-745-3000. The box office is open weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tickets are available for $10, $16, $20 and $28.
