Playoffs Games 1 and 2 Set to Go this Weekend

Kamloops, BC - The Kamloops Blazers will host the Victoria Royals in the first round of the WHL playoffs. The series will begin in Kamloops with home games this Friday and Saturday night. The Blazers are encouraging fans to wear white for ALL playoff games.

On Friday night, Domenic's Marine Ltd. is the game night sponsor and will be set up in sponsor's corner with prizes available for fans. The Welcome Back MRI and Pain Management Centre will be giving cowbells out at the front doors for the first 3,000 fans that enter the building.

Canadian Western Bank Dash for Cash is back and five contestants will be chosen from entries at Canadian Western Bank, while five more will be selected by entering at the game. $3,000 in loonies will be up for grabs in the second intermission. Contestants will have 60 seconds to pick up as much money as they can. All the left over money will be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kamloops.

Finally, Friday is also A&W Mama Burger Night. If the Blazers score four or more goals and win the game, fans can get a Mama Burger for $1 with a game ticket at any Kamloops A&W location within 48 hours.

On Saturday night, 94.1FM CBC Kamloops will be handing out thundersticks to the first 2,500 fans through the door. Kamloops Ford Lincoln is the game sponsor and they have partnered up with the Boys and Girls Club of Kamloops in support of their Power Start program. There will also be a puck toss during the second intermission to benefit the 'Ride to Conquer Cancer' campaign.
