
Giants to Pick First Overall

VANCOUVER, BC - The Vancouver Giants have retained the first overall pick in this year's Western Hockey League Bantam Draft, as determined by today's Draft Lottery.
Regina's ball was chosen, moving them up two spots to pick 2nd overall in the WHL Bantam Draft which will take place on May 2, 2013.
"We are extremely pleased to have received the first overall pick in this upcoming Bantam Draft," said Giants' Executive VP and General Manager Scott Bonner. "Our plan this season was to rebuild for the future, and having this pick will allow us to acquire a significant piece of the championship puzzle."
The draft order for the first six picks of the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft is as follows:
1) Vancouver
2) Regina
3) Prince George
4) Brandon
5) Moose Jaw
6) Lethbridge
