
Players and Staff Distributing Teddy Bears this Week

Wichita, KS - The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators and powered by Toyota, announced today the teams plans for their annual teddy bear distribution that will take place on Wednesday, December 21st and Thursday, December 22nd.
Starting at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, the team will head to Via Christi Pediatrics located at 929 N. St. Francis to deliver stuffed animals to children who may not be able to be with family during the holidays.
At 3 p.m., players and staff will visit Rainbows at North Oliver. Rainbows' served more than 3,500 children with special needs and their families.
Players will also be visiting Heartspring at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 22nd. Heartspring is a not-for-profit day and residential school serving children ages five through 21 from across the country.
The last distribution date will take place at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 3rd at Wesley Children's Hospital located at 550 N. Hillside. Wesley Medical Center provides a wide range of pediatric care in the region and the Thunder will stop in to help brighten up their patients' day.
Teddy Bear Toss was made possible by Bank of the West and Hajoca. The Thunder appreciate their continued support of this great promotion.
The Thunder will close out the pre-Christmas schedule with a match-up against the Missouri Mavericks on Friday, December 23rd at 7:05 p.m.
