
Player Moves Rock Senators' Roster

Harrisburg Senators News Release
The Harrisburg Senators announced today that the team made several moves to its roster on Sunday while the team was in Binghamton. Off the Senators roster will be Roger Bernadina, Melvin Dorta, Dan Foli, John Suomi, and T.J. Nall. Joining the active roster will be Jim Magrane, Beltran Perez, Luke Montz, Sheldon Fulse and Marcos Yepez.
Bernadina heads to the National's triple-A team in Columbus. Bernadina was batting .277 with the Senators with three home runs and 21 RBI's. Bernadina, an outfielder, was also leading the Eastern League with 25 stolen bases.
Also heading to Columbus is infielder Melvin Dorta who started the season with the triple-A team. While in Harrisburg this season, Dorta played in 45 games and hit .196 with one homer and 11 runs driven in. Dorta appeared in 20 games with Columbus earlier in the 2007 campaign.
Catcher John Suomi was traded to the Philadelphia Phillies organization. Suomi played in 36 contests with the Senators and had a .222 batting average with two home runs and 14 RBI's.
The Nationals released pitchers Foli and Nall yesterday. Foli pitched in 11 games with the Senators and was 0-2 with a 8.39 ERA. Nall worked in 12 games in Harrisburg and was 3-9 with a 4.85 ERA.
Magrane, Fulse, Perez and Yepez are all returning to Harrisburg. Magrane started the season in Harrisburg and built a 1-4 slate and a 4.50 ERA with the Senators. Magrane returns from Columbus where he made four starts on the mound for the Clippers and was 1-2 with a 4.15 ERA.
Perez rejoins the Senators after a stint on the team's disabled list with a back injury. Perez pitched in 11 games with Harrisburg this season and is 4-3 with a 5.81 ERA.
Fulse has split his time between Harrisburg and Hagerstown this season. While on City Island, The speedy outfielder played in six games and had a .368 average with 2 home runs and 3 RBI's. At Hagerstown, Fulse appeared in 13 games and hit .196 with no homers and four runs batted in.
Yepez, an infielder, will make his first stop in Harrisburg this year, but he did play in 27 games with the Senators in 2006. While in Potomac this season, Yepez was hitting .307 with 12 extra base hits and 20 RBI's in 44 games. Yepez also played in three games with Columbus this year.
Catcher Luke Montz joins the Senators from Potomac where he played in 60 games this season. Montz was batting .269 with seven home runs, 39 RBI's, 45 walks and a .406 on base percentage.
The Senators roster currently stands at 24 active players.
The Senators return to Harrisburg following tonight's game in Binghamton and will open a five-game series with the Reading Phillies tomorrow. The two teams will play a single game Tuesday (6:35 P.M.), a doubleheader Wednesday (5:35 P.M.), and single games both Thursday and Friday at 6:35 P.M.
