Brandon Pirri scored twice and Carter Hutton made 31 saves in Rockford's 3-1 victory over the Peoria Rivermen Friday night at the BMO Harris Bank Center. The loss snapped Peoria's three-game winning streak and pushed their record back below .500.
The IceHogs opened up the scoring at the 15:34 mark of the first frame. Ryan Stanton threw a puck on net that Martin St. Pierre was able to tip past Jake Allen for his 15th goal of the year. Kenndal McArdle earned the secondary assist on the tally.

With 5:54 remaining in the second period, Pirri scored his second goal of the night. From the slot, Pirri backhanded the puck over the left shoulder of Allen to make it a 3-0 affair. Philippe Paradis assisted on Pirri's 12th goal of the season.
Peoria broke Hutton's shutout bid just 2:34 into the third period. Stefan Della Rovere took a shot that beat Hutton over the shoulder. Tyler Shattock assisted on Della Rovere's first goal of the campaign.
