Lashoff Returns to Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Detroit Red Wings on Friday assigned defenseman Brian Lashoff to the Grand Rapids Griffins.
A native of Albany, N.Y., Lashoff has skated in 35 games with the Griffins this season, posting six points (2-4-6), eight penalty minutes and a plus-five rating. The 22-year-old blueliner shows 35 points (11-24-35) and 76 penalty minutes in 160 career games with Grand Rapids. Lashoff posted career highs in 2011-12 with the club, recording 19 points (8-11-19) and 41 penalty minutes in 76 games.
The Griffins will be in action tomorrow on the road against the Rockford IceHogs at 8:05 p.m. EST before returning to Grand Rapids for three home games next week: Wednesday versus Oklahoma City and Friday and Saturday versus Houston.
