Jets Re-Assign Three Players to IceCaps

The Winnipeg Jets announced today they have re-assigned Derek Meech, Spencer Machacek and Max Macenauer to the St. John's IceCaps of the American Hockey League.

Meech, 28, has played in 34 games with St. John's this season, recording 17 points (3G, 14A) and 30 penalty minutes while sharing the team lead in assists with 14. The Winnipeg native has played in 128 career NHL games with Detroit and Winnipeg, notching 16 points (4G, 12A) with 43 penalty minutes.

Machacek, 24, has suited up in 36 games with the IceCaps this season, recording 18 points (8G, 10A) and 26 penalty minutes and sharing the club lead in goals with eight. The Lethbridge-born winger has played in 25 career NHL games, including 13 last season with Winnipeg, where he notched nine points (2G, 7A) and a plus-eight rating.

Macenauer, 24, has recorded 15 points (7G, 8A) and 28 penalty minutes in 36 games with St. John's this season. The native of Laval has played 29 NHL contests, all with the Anaheim Ducks last season, notching four points (1G, 3A) and 18 penalty minutes.
