
Pirates Re-Sign DL Ifeanyi Maijeh

LOWELL, MA - The Massachusetts Pirates have re-signed Ifeanyi Maijeh for the 2025 season. Last year the 6'3", 290 lb. defensive lineman appeared in two games with the Pirates. Maijeh started one game and assisted on one tackle for a loss for three yards.
Maijeh arrived in Massachusetts after a stint with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League. In 2023 he signed as an undrafted free agent with the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League.
A native of Far Rockaway, NY, Maijeh played collegiately at Rutgers in 2021 and 2022 making 14 starters in 25 games. He finished his career with the Scarlet Knights making 60 tackles with six for a loss including 3.5 sacks. He defended two passes, forced two fumbles, recovered one and blocked one kick.
Maijeh also played for the Temple Owls from 2028 through 2020. In three seasons on North Broad Street in Philadelphia, he played in 27 games, making 74 tackles. 11.5 were for a loss including 6.5 sacks. He also forced two fumbles. His best season with the Cherry and the White was in 2019 as a redshirt sophomore. He earned First Team All-American Athletic Conference and First Team All-ECAC honors. That year he notched 52 tackles with 10 for a loss including 6.5 sacks.
