Charlotte Knights News Release
FORT MILL, S.C. - May 14, 2007 - Pink was seen throughout Knights Castle Saturday night, but Knights fans weren't afraid to show a little green as well. For the Charlotte Knights 2nd annual fundraiser, "Pink Knights", the team raised $10,253 for the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.
The Knights donated a percentage of the gate receipts and the players pink jerseys were auctioned off for charity. The amount raised this year was $3,000 more than the 2006 event. The Knights would like to thank Charlotte Radiology for sponsoring this great event and all of our fans for making this event such as success.
The Charlotte Knights are the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. For ticket or event information, please contact the Knights front office at (704) 357-8071 or (803) 548-8050 or visit our website at www.charlotteknights.com for more information.
